             The Research on Motivations upon the life quality of the aged in Bangkok : A case study of the aged in Thonburi district aimed at; 1) to study the level of motivations upon the  life quality of the aged in Bangkok : A case study of the aged in Thonburi district and 2) to study the differences in the level of motivations upon the life quality  of the aged  in  Bangkok : A case study of the aged in Thonburi district. The sample consisted 200 people in Thonburi district, Bangkok. The quality life motivations study contents had been classified into four sections; physical, social, psychological, and intellectual. Tools used were questionnaires. The statistics used were percentage, arithmetic mean, standard deviation and to test hypotheses with t- test and One-way ANOVA. The hypotheses testing was set at the 0.05 level of significance. The results were as follows.

             1) It found that most of the sample was women (64.00%), aged between 55 and 60 years old (55.50%), working as government official and state enterprise employee (32.00%), monthly income less than 10,000 Baht (41.00%), living with family (81.50%), having congenital diseases (57.50%), and fond of making merit (54.00%).   

             2) Level of a quality life motivation of the sample aged, in the overall, was high. In a specific classification, it found that the highest level of a quality life motivation of the aged living in Thonburi district belonged to psychological, intellectual, social, and physical aspects respectively.   

             3) The sample aged who had difference in age and present job were different in a quality life motivation in over all aspects. Whereas, the sample aged with the differences in age, occupations, present job and religions activities were different in the physical classification. And, the sample aged with the differences in present job, and monthly income, were different in the social classification of a quality of life motivation at the 0.05 level of statistical significance.
