Abstract

          This study on “Administration with the Four Sangahavatthudhamma of Samrong Tai Police Station, Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan Province” had 3 objectives : 1) to study the people’s opinions towards on administration according to Sangahavatthudhamma (bases of social solidarity) of Samrong Tai Police Station,  Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan Province; 2) the comparative study on the people’s opinions towards on administration according to Sangahavatthudhamma of Samrong Tai Police Station, Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan Province; and 3) to study the problems, obstacles and suggestions of the people concerning on administration according to Sangahavatthudhamma  of Samrong Tai Police Station, Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan Province.

          This study was carried out through the Mixed Methods Research consisting of quantitative, survey and qualitative research. Data collecting used the questionnaire. The sampling group used in this study consisted people 398 persons receiving the services and coming to contact with Samrong Tai Police Station, Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan Province Taro Yamane’s formula was used. The statistics used to analyze the data were frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test for testing the hypothesis, F-test, One Way ANOVA and Least Significant Difference: LSD to compare the differences of the mean in pair. And for qualitative research, the In-Depth Interview with key informants was selected to use in this study, the analyzed  data used content and context analysis techniques.

          The results of research were as following :

          1) The people’s opinions towards the administration according to Sangahavatthudhamma of Samrong Tai Police Station, Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan Province, it showed in average value at the high level (X=3.86). When considered into each aspect, it appeared that the following opinions: Dãna (giving), Piyavãcã (kindly speech), Atthacariyã (useful conduct) and Samãnattatã (even and equal treatment) showed all at high levels.

          2) The result of the comparative study on the people’s opinions towards the administration according to Sangahavatthudhamma of Samrong Tai Police Station, Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan Province classified by Personal status,  disclosed that people of different sexes, ages, educational levels, careers, incomes and experiences took no different opinion, so the hypothesis was denied.

          3) The results of the study concerning the problems, obstacles and suggestions of the people’s opinion’s towards the administration according to Sangahavatthudhamma of Samrong Tai Police Station, Phra Pradaeng District, Samut Prakan Province, showed police service was slow and not on time, people needed be preated by the police more nicely, devotiveness in service was requested, people expected to be treated by the police more fairly and friendly.
