Abstract

                                          Abstract                                 

 

The aim of this research is 1) to study of Loka-Dhamma in Buddhism 2) to study of practical method of followers on Loka-Dhamma in Buddhism and 3) to study of the relationship of Loka-Dhamma on the attitude of Cambodian senior monks.

The result of research finds that;

1) The meaning and character of Loka-Dhamma in Buddhism is the worldly normal truth, the world covered-truth and the human being is flowed on it. Loka-Dhamma is the normal truth for daily life, society and human’s world. Human has to experience whether like or dislike. There are 8 in number; gain (Labha), loss (Alabha), fame (Yasa), obscurity (Ayasa), blame (Ninda), praise (Pasamsa), happiness (Sukha), pain (Dukkha). It divided into 2 group desirable emotion (Ittharamana) and undesirable emotion (Anittharamana). 

2) The practical method is to realize the truth and does not involve or misunderstand as one’s belongs. One should consider the truth as impermanent, suffering and non-self. Having considered, the Loka-Dhamma cannot control one’s mind because one’s consciousness can protect from the Loka-Dhamma. One should consider the truth that Loka-Dhamma was impermanent, un-strong and shortly changed. The Loka-Dhamma as desirable emotion and undesirable emotion reflected for the Buddhist followers. The Buddha taught his disciples to be attitude for Loka-Dhamma as followings; realizing the Dhamma and understanding the cause (Dhammannuta), understanding the meaning and knowing the purpose (Atthannuta) and realizing the result due to own’s action and follows karma.

3) The relationship of Loka-Dhamma on the attitude of Cambodian senior monks 5 parts. The meaning of Loka-Dhamma is not different but the term and character is different. Somdej Phradhammalikhit points out the meaning of Loka-Dhamma that Loka-Dhamma is worldly Dhamma namely; gain (Labha), loss (Alabha), fame (Yasa), obscurity (Ayasa), blame (Ninda), praise (Pasamsa), happiness (Sukha), pain (Dukkha). For desirable emotion (Ittharamana), it can eradicate by the Path of Non-Returning (Anagami-magga). For undesirable emotion (Anittharamana), it can eradicate by the Path of Arahantship (Arahatta-magga). The attitude of Somdej Phradhammalikhit on Loka-Dhamma is to consider how to practice on the purpose of realizing the truth and practical understand various ways whether similar or difference but there is only one way; meaning no-suffering.
