ABSTRACT            

             The objectives of this research were: 1) to study the levels of Roles of Buddhist Monks towards Community Development of Sub-District People Training Center in Muang District, Suphanburi province, 2) to study the comparison of the Roles of Buddhist Monks towards Community Development  of Sub-District People Training Center in Muang District , Suphanburi province, classified by personal factors,  3) to study the problems, obstacles and suggestions about the Roles of Buddhist Monks towards Community Development of Sub-District People Training Center in Muang District, Suphanburi province. The sampling group of this research was 302 people in Muang District, Suphanburi Province. The research methodology was the mixed method research.  The tool used for data collection was in depth interview and data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation; SD, t-test and F-test by one way analysis of variance; ANOVA, and the data analysis from interview by content analysis technique.

The findings of this research were as following :

               1. The monks had the level of the Roles of Buddhist Monks towards Community Development of Sub-District People Training Center in Muang District, Suphanburi province were at high level in the overall (3.78).  

               2. The results of analysis about comparison of the Roles of Buddhist Monks towards Community Development  of Sub-District People Training Center in Muang District, Suphanburi province, classified by personal factors in overall found that the sampling group who had differences of age, and general education, they had the Roles of Buddhist Monks towards Community Development of Sub-District PeopleTraining Center in Muang District, Suphanburi province differently by  statistically significant at the 0.05 level. It is the relevant hypothesis set. But that the sampling group who had differences of social status, ordination year and position. They had the level of the Roles of Buddhist Monks towards Community Development of Sub-District PeopleTraining Center in Muang District, Suphanburi province indifferently so it rejected the hypothesis.

               3. The Problems, obstacles about Roles of Buddhist Monks towards Community Development of Sub-District People Training Center in Muang District, Suphanburi province and it found that the monks lacked of moral and ethical support to the people continuously and lacked of giving the knowledge about sufficiency economy to the people. The monks did not give the importance to set the peaceful village protection unity center, lacked of policy and plan to work together as unity, no training and supporting the children to realize the great honour of Majesty King and the gratitude of parents seriously and no sermon on the topic of Unity of King Bhumipol   

               Recommendations for improvement: should support the morality and ethics to the people seriously. They should focus on continuously teaching the principle of sufficiency economy by no over spending and being the peaceful village protection unity center for life quality development in the sake of society and create the strength of community by participation of the youths and training the children to realize the great honour of Majesty King and the gratitude of parents seriously and sermon on the topic of Unity of King Bhumipol.

               4. Guidelines for supporting the Majesty King and the gratitude of parents seriously and no sermon on the topic of Unity of King Bhumipol in overall, found that the moral and ethical promotion to the people in the country is the most importance to every sector of society and no individual task, to cooperate with the Sub-District health promotion hospital for elder people training, cooperate with the Sub-District Developer to teach about the way of life according to the principle of sufficiency economy for daily life, to promote the public mind, to practice meditation on important Buddhist Holy Days, develop the education to the students, cooperate with government sectors to teach about ways of life accordance with principle of sufficiency economy to the poor people, to teach the students about gratitude on important days, cooperate the community leader and people to develop the villages on important days, cooperate with the community leader and people to organize the old traditional merit making ceremony.
