A Study of Risk Management in Teaching and Learning in Phrapariyattidhamma School, General Education Division, Group 1

Abstract

            The aims of this research were to study the state of risks in teaching and learning and to study a guideline of risk management in teaching and learning in Phrapariyattidhamma School, General Education Division, Group 1. The quantitative data of this mixed method research were collected by questionnaires from 161 samples and analyzed by frequency, mean, and standard deviation. The qualitative data were collected by in-depth interviews with 14 key-informants and analyzed by content analysis.

 

               The results of the study found that:

               1. The state of risks in teaching and learning in Phrapariyattidhamma School, General Education Division, Group 1 was at a moderate level in total and in aspects.

               2. A guideline of risk management in teaching and learning in Phrapariyattidhamma School, General Education Division, Group 1 was to analyze the curriculum, to improve teaching and learning process relevant to the National Education Act, to apply teaching and learning, and to set up a committee to follow up and evaluate the teaching and learning operation continuously.

               3. Suggestions in risk management in teaching and learning in Phrapariyattidhamma School, General Education Division, Group 1 were as follows: to build network in teaching and learning and doing researches, to encourage teachers to have continuous academic development, to have teachers trained in designing projects in their teaching subjects, to encourage community to participate in school learning resource management, and to build actual evaluation tools in order to improve teaching and learning consistently and to prevent the risks in teaching and learning in Phrapariyattidhamma School, General Education Division.
