The aims of this research paper were: 1) to study the life and works of Luang Phor Khamkhien Suvaṇṇo; 2) study the four mindfulness on the moving practices of Luang Phor Khamkhien Suvaṇṇo; 3) to study the results of the four mindfulness based in the moving practices of Luang Phor Khamkhien Suvaṇṇo, affecting the daily life. This study employed the qualitative research methodology by using its research tools as an interview with 3 insight meditation masters and 15 general meditative practitioners. The obtained data were analyzed by the descriptive analysis.
The research results revealed that Luang Phor Khamkhien Suvaṇṇo is a native of Khon Kaen province. After ordination, he studied the meditation in line with the meditation method of Luang Phor Tien. He was the abbot of Sugato forest temple and the Nong Kham sub-district Sangha governor, Kaeng Khro district, Chaiyaphum province. He was the competent developer in the field of Sangha service, administration, education, public assistance. Also he was the meditation master.
The four mindfulness of the moving practices of Luang Phor Khamkhien Suvaṇṇo is the consciousness determination within the bodies (kāyānupassanā), feeling (vadanānupassanā), mind (cittānupassanā) and dhamma (dhammānupassanā) conducted through 14 postures of hand movements and mindfulness on hand moving.
The four mindfulness based in the moving practices of Luang Phor Khamkhien Suvaṇṇo affecting the daily life are that: 1) this practice enables the practitioners to rise the fast mindfulness and to decrease greed, anger and delusion easily; 2) the moving causes relaxation to the body and release the physical pain and stress; 3) it enables the practitioners to control their emotion and to reasonably make a decision.
