Abstract

 

ABSTRACT   

            The main objectives of this research are:  i) to study the administration efficiency of Dhamma Study Schools at Phachi District, Ayutthaya Province; ii) to compare the administration efficiency of Dhamma Study Schools at Phachi District, Ayutthaya Province, classified by the personal factors; and iii) to study the problems, the suggestions of administration efficiency of Dhamma Study Schools at Phachi District, Ayutthaya Province. The survey research was carried out in this study. Data collections are conducted using questionnaire with 367 students of first  to  sixth classes in primary schools and first to third classes in secondary schools from 21 schools                at Phachi District, Ayutthaya Province, selected by purposive sampling technique. Data was conducted by questionnaire about the administration efficiency of Dhamma Study School at Phachi District , Ayutthaya Province which divided  into three parts: i) personal status of questionnaire, ii) the administration efficiency of Dhamma Study School at Phachi District,  Ayutthaya Province included : i) programs, ii) teachers, iii) Activities of learning and teaching, iv) Factors for promoting learning and teaching, v) Evaluation of the learning and iii) the problems, the suggestions of administration efficiency of Dhamma Study School at Phachi District, Ayutthaya Province. Data analysis was conducted by using Statistical Program for analysis of Social Science data. Statistical values of Frequency, Percentage, Average and Standard Deviation were described. t-test was used for two variables. F-test with One-way ANOVA was employed for at least three variables. Statistical significance was conducted using Least Significant Difference (LSD) with .05 level of significance.

 

Results of the Research were concluded as follows:

1) The overall administration efficiency of Dhamma Study School at Phachi District, Ayutthaya Province was found at the high level( = 3.91). When considered in each aspects, it was also noticed at the high levels in all aspects, namely, i) programs, ii) teachers, iii) Activities of learning and teaching, iv) Factors for promote learning and teaching, v) Evaluation of the learning.

2) With regard to comparison of the administration efficiency of Dhamma Study School at Phachi District, Ayutthaya Province, classified by the personal factors : sex, age, level of study class, level of Dhamma Studies class and year of Dhamma Studies, it was found that the administration efficiency of Dhamma Study School at Phachi District, Ayutthaya Province with  the different of sex was not statistical significance, therefore the hypotheses were rejected. However, the administration efficiency of Dhamma Study School at Phachi District, Ayutthaya Province with the different of age, level of study class level of Dhamma Studies class and year of Dhamma Studies was statistically different at .05 level of significance, therefore the hypotheses were accepted.

3) For the problems, the suggestions of effective development about administration efficiency of Dhamma Study School at Phachi District, Ayutthaya Province, it was found that.

The problems were noticed as follows: i) programs, such as, content of learning was too much, no enough time for learning and  too much of subjects that students didn’t learn all courses, ii) teachers, such as no enough time for teaching, there was no media technologies for teaching Dhamma Studies and content of learning was too much, iii) Activities of learning and teaching, such as activities of learning and teaching was too much of lectures, lacking of participation of the students for activities of learning and teaching and activities of learning and teaching was too much of academics, iv) Factors for promote learning and teaching, such as no enough Dhamma books for learning, no activities for learning Dhamma studies and no expression of students, and v) Evaluation of the learning, such as students did not work or too late, no various measuring student’s knowledge before and after school and there should to evaluate of the learning by objective tests or matching tests more than subjective tests.

The suggestions of administration efficiency of Dhamma Study School at Phachi District,  Ayutthaya Province  offers the following guidelines: i) programs, such as Teaching content should be short and easy to understand, there should  be increased the time for learning  Dhamma studies and there should be guided for learning, ii) teachers, such as there should be increased the time for learning Dhamma studies, media technologies for teaching Dhamma Studies and teacher should be taught important topic for easy to understand, iii) Activity of learning and teaching, such as there should  increased the practices for activities of learning and teaching, there should be guided for participation of the  students for activities of learning and teaching and there should be motivated by Dhamma stories, iv) Factors for promote learning and teaching, such as there should be supported the Dhamma books for everyone, there should be increased exciting activities for students and students should be expressed, and v) Evaluation of the learning , such as work assignments must be relate to the period, there should be extended to test students knowledge before and after studying and there should be variety of tests for motivating.
