ABSTRACT

The study entitled ‘The Opinion of Teachers and Administrators upon the Environmental Management in Secondary Schools in Lamlukka District of Pathom Thani Province’, using 175 copies of a questionnaire as the tool of data collection and 169 copies of which were returned, is a survey research with objectives: 1) to study  the environmental management in Secondary Schools in Lamlukka district of Pathom Thani province; 2) to compare  teachers and administrators’ opinion upon the environmental management in Secondary schools in Lamlukka district of Pathom Thani province classified as the personal status. The population of the study includes 175 teachers and administrators from three Secondary schools in Lamlukka district of Pathom Thani province, i.e., Treamudomsuksa Phatthanakarn school, Thepsirindra Klongsibsam and Nawamindrajinuthit Suankulabvidyalaya school. Statistics used for the data analysis includes Percentage, Mean and Standard Deviation, t-test and One-Way Analysis of Variance: F-test based on the ready-made computer programme.

Findings are as follows:

1. From the result  of the data analysis of teachers and administrators’ opinion upon the environmental management in Secondary schools in Lamlukka district of Pathom Thani province to find out (μ) and S.D. (σ) values in general it was found to be high, while individually considering it was found to be high in the aspects of social and learning-teaching environments within school and to be moderate in the aspect of physical environment within school.

2. From the result of the comparative analysis of teachers and administrators’ opinion upon the environmental management in Secondary schools in Lamlukka district of Pathom Thani province classified according to sex through  t-test it was generally  found not to be significantly different which was not related to the given hypothesis and while individually considering   it was also found not to be significantly different.

3. From the result of the comparative analysis of teachers and administrators’ opinion upon the environmental management in Secondary schools in Lamlukka district of Pathom Thani province classified according to age, working duration and education through  One–Way Analysis of Variance: ANOVA it was found that teachers and admistrators with different age, working duration and education  had no different opinion upon the environmental management in Secondary schools in Lamlukka district of Pathom Thani province.
